Leadership training for ministry leaders is a life-long process. It is a journey of service and not a means of building an empire. The job of Christian leaders is to serve the sheep by helping them become what God wants them to be. We are not to build ministries so much as we are to build people. We are not building a following - we are building other leaders.
To succeed in this endeavor we must continually strive to focus our efforts on creating an environment of leadership development. The problem, however, is that many leaders are overwhelmed by the daily demands of their ministries. They have so many things on their plate that they can't spend the time necessary to master what they need to know about leadership.
